Dublin Derby on the cards in FAI Cup semi-finals while holders Dundalk travel to Sligo

A Dublin Derby semi-final is on the cards in the FAI Cup after the winner of Crumlin United and Bohemians was drawn at home to Shamrock Rovers in the final four.

The Leinster Senior League champions will face the Gypsies at St Patrick’s Athletic’s Richmond Park on Monday evening after they were refused permission to host the game at Armagh Road.

Martin Loughran’s side face the carrot of yet another all-capital affair in the final four, but they face the unenviable task of overcoming a Bohs side currently third in the Premier Division.

The original tie was postponed due to Bohs’ Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup tie with Airdrie and the involvement of Darragh Leahy and Danny Mandroiu in the Irish under-21 squad.

Holders Dundalk face a tough trip to Sligo Rovers in the second of the semi-finals, which are scheduled to take place on the weekend ending Sunday, September 29th.
