Three non-league sides join heavyweights in the hat for tonight's FAI Cup last 16 draw

Inishown League side Glengad United join Leinster Senior League champions Crumlin United and Lucan United in the draw for the last 16 of the 2019 FAI Cup this evening.

Glengad saw off FAI Junior Cup finalists St Michael’s with a dramatic 8-7 penalty shoot-out win in Tipperary on Saturday afternoon.

Beaten FAI Intermediate Cup finalists Crumlin came from a goal down to beat Malahide United 3-1 while Senior Sunday 1A winners Lucan overcame top-flight Killester Donnycarney 2-1 in Celbridge.

Nine of the ten Premier Division clubs remain in the hunt for an Aviva Stadium date in November, including holders Dundalk and beaten finalists Cork City, with Finn Harps the only absentee.

The remainder is made up of five First Division sides as Longford Town and Athlone Town will contest their first round tie on Tuesday after Saturday’s postponement due to a waterlogged pitch.

The draw for the last 16 takes place at FAI HQ in Abbotstown at 5pm on Monday evening and streamed live on the FAI’s Facebook page.
