Oran Kearney returns to Coleraine after departing St Mirren

Irish League side Coleraine have confirmed the return of Oran Kearney as club manager after his brief stint in Scotland with St Mirren.

Kearney returns to the Bannsiders having led St Mirren to safety in the Scottish Premiership at the expense of Dundee United who were seeking promotion from the Championship.

During his first stint at Coleraine, Kearney saw Coleraine win the Irish Cup for the sixth time in the club’s history.

Speaking to colerainefc.com, Chairman Colin McKendry spoke of his delight at the news of Kearney’s return to the club; “The Board of Directors and I are delighted to welcome Oran back to this football club.

“We are convinced that he has the necessary knowledge and temperament to lead the Club to the success we all desire.

“Oran has a great record in identifying and developing players and has identified potential targets as we look to strengthen the squad this summer.

“This a special day for our club, our fans and for Oran.”

Coleraine finished 6th in the Danske Bank Premier League in the 2018/19 season where they just missed out on a European position via the Playoffs.
