League Suspensions - SSE Airtricity League of Ireland - Gameweek 5

Danny Doyle of Wexford’s 70th minute red card against Galway United last week means he will miss his side’s trip to Cobh on Saturday. In addition to that, Danny Furlong has been handed a further match suspension for his red in Athlone.

Jamie McDonagh’s red card for his challenge on Shamrock Rovers Trevor Clarke has seen the Derry City player get an additional three match ban. It is a ban that Candystripes manager Declan Devine has called ‘ludicrious’ and ‘absolutely horrendous’.   

The rest of the weekly suspensions are for non-playing staff as Finn Harps’ Paul Hegarty and Dundalk’s Ruaidhri Higgins serving two and three match bans respectively.
