Watch: Headers from Sean Hoare and Patrick McEleney seal league and Cup double for Dundalk

Patrick McEleney's Dundalk renaissance continues as he headed headed the Lilywhites' winner over Cork City late in the FAI Cup final at the Aviva Stadium.

Seán Hoare had an eventful first half as the Dundalk defender gave his side the lead before conceding the equalising penalty straight afterwards.

These sides have been difficult to separate over the past three finals with all three finishing scoreless after 90 minutes and last year's going all the way to penalties.

The stalemate lasted just 19 minutes this time, however, as Hoare soared above Cork City goalkeeper Mark McNulty to plant a firm header in the back of the net.

The Dubliner's afternoon was to get more eventful, however, as mere seconds after the restart he was penalised for a foul in the box on Karl Sheppard, and Kieran Sadlier converted the spot kick.
