The Extratime.ie Sportscast Episode 97 - Dan Gorman - Eamon Zayed

The Extratime.ie Sportscast is back for its first broadcast of 2018 – and the first as we return to a weekly format ahead of the new season.

This week regular presenter Dec Marron and panellist Dave Donnelly are joined by Libyan international and Indy Eleven striker Eamon Zayed.

The Dublin-born man of the globe joins the lads to speak about his call-up to the land of his father and how it changed the course of his career.

Zayed picked up a handful of caps for Libya and it opened doors that saw him play in Iran – famously netting a hat-trick in the Tehran derby – and with El-Hadji Diouf in Malaysia.

The 32-year-old currently plies his trade in the American midwest but still gets stopped by Iranian fans who wish to meet their hero – and has the 350k instagram followers to back it up.

The lads also speak to Bray People journalist Dan Gorman about the latest goings on at Zayed's first club, Bray Wanderers, as they adapt to life under Dave Mackey after near-meltdown last summer.
