Extratime donates to Suas Educational Development

Following our recent successful treble, Suas Educational Development now find themselves all the better to carry on their superb work receiving the donation this afternoon.

 

A few weeks back, Jennifer Gilligan a primary teacher graduate from Sligo contacted extratime.ie asking to be considered for the charity bet.

 

The Sligo native is one of several girls from the Marino Institute of Education who will spend six weeks of their summer helping out in the southern province of Zambia.  Their work in Zambia consists of assisting in three disadvantaged schools mainly through the teaching of English.

 

Suas is an organisation based out of Dublin and their primary objective is to deliver quality education to children in Ireland, India and Africa since being founded back in 2002.

 

Suas volunteers of whom there are currently three teams in Zambia at present from a variety of Irish Colleges working with local partners, bringing their experience and energy to both urban and rural communities in both the northern and southern province.
