Clancy Leaves Showgrounds by Mutual Consent

Sligo Rovers today announced that they have parted ways with club captain Tim Clancy by mutual consent.

Clancy came to the Bit O'Red initially on loan from Shamrock Rovers almost a year ago and was part of the reason Sligo stayed up last season. According to the clubs official website, Clancy is leaving the Showgrounds for family reasons.

Clancy was one of Dave Robertsons first signing for the Bit O'Red this season and just before the campaign started Robertson named him team captain.

Clancy only managed seven games this season after picking up an injury against Bray Wanderers which sidelined him for the remainder of his time at the Showgrounds.

Sligo Rovers have also confirmed that loan players Jaanai Gordon and Jordon Richards have returned to their parent clubs West Ham United and Notts County respectively as their loan contacts have concluded.
