Waterford United re-sign Paddy Barrett

WATERFORD United continue their preparation for the 2014 season with confirmation that Paddy Barrett has agreed a deal with the club for the upcoming season.

This follows on from the news that Gavin O’Donovan, Conor Coad, John Frost and Michael Coady have also signed for the Blues for the 2014 campaign.

Barrett played in both central defensive and midfield positions last season after joining Waterford on loan last July from Scottish Premier League side Dundee United.

He had a spell at Aberdeen before joining Dundee United in 2010 and featured in their Youth and U20 sides. He also appeared in a number of first team squads over the last two seasons. His decision to commit to the club again this season will provide first team boss Tommy Griffin with a valuable and versatile player.
