LIMERICK

Limerick hope to enter their first home game in two weeks with a fully fit squad. Both Rory Gaffney and Pat Purcell have recovered from injuries that kept them out of their recent trip to Turner's Cross, while Craig Curran is expected to be fit following a facial injury he sustained in that same match against Cork City. Dominic Foley's back injury that has plagued his season thus far is "reacting well" to treatment according to the Limerick Press Office.

The Blues are currently on a good run of form, winning three from their last five and only sustaining one loss along the way. However, boss Stuart Taylor is expecting to be on the receiving end of a backlash following Drogheda's seven goal drubbing at the weekend which they sustained against All-Ireland champions, Shamrock Rovers.

“I fully expect Drogheda to come down to Thomond on Tuesday eager to confirm that strength and I know we’re going to face an extremely tough game", said Taylor.

DROGHEDA UNITED

Mick Cooke will also be going into Tuesday's game with a full squad to pick from, as Drogheda report that there were no injuries sustained in the Setanta Sports Cup final last weekend.

Drogheda haven't won a competitive fixture in three games now, and Cooke has only one thing on his mind, returning to form.

"Obviously the big thing is to get the lads back now and get their minds focused on tomorrow night. We all let ourselves down on Saturday, but there's no better way to bounce back then by putting three points on the board. I know Stuart Taylor was there Saturday, but he didn't get to see the real Drogheda, no-one did."

The former Monaghan United manager is under no illusions as to the task ahead of him, and like his Limerick counterpart Taylor, he's expecting a tight game.

"It's going to be tough for us as Limerick have had a good rest, having not played since last Monday and we played on Saturday. But we need to get that ruthless streak back that we had last season. It won't be easy, the last time we played each other it was a good game and we'll be hoping for more of the same tomorrow night."

Limerick average only a goal a game at home, which is the fourth worst tally in the league. Only UCD, Bray and Shelbourne scoreless at home.

Both Drogheda and Limerick are currently neck and neck in midtable at the moment, with only a point separating the sides.
