Barry Prenderville - Unassigned
About Barry Prenderville
On July 10th, 2006, the Shamrock Rovers board released the following statement through www.shamrockrovers.ie - "Due to other commitments, Barry Prenderville has found himself unable to participate fully with the first teams' training schedule and has parted company with Shamrock Rovers FC."
Released by Pats at the end of the 2005 season. and signed for Shamrock Rovers.
Barry was signed for the Saints for the second time in March 2003 from Shelbourne by Eamonn Collins.
He was one of Ireland's most promising underage internationals when he signed for Coventry City from Cherry Orchard as a schoolboy. Having failed to make to breakthrough to the first team at Highfield Road he went to Scotland on loan with Hibernian.
His form there earned him a move to Ayr United which didn?t work out and after only 6 games Barry returned to Ireland and began his first spell with St Pats in 1999.
6 months later and Barry was off again, this time to Oldham. He was a consistent squad member at Boundary Park but when financial difficulty hit the club Barry was one of those who were surplus to requirements.
Barry once again returned to Dublin but this time with Shelbourne. When Eamonn Collins took over as manager in Inchicore in February 2003, he made Barry one of his first signing. His first season back at Richmond Park could be seen as somewhat of a personal success with Barry making 39 appearances in all competitions and eventhough he made the right back slot his own he also covered at centre-half and midfield when needed.
