About Darren Kelly
Darren is a Northern Ireland U21 international who made his league debut for Derry City in 1996. In August 2002 he signed for Roddy Collins at Carlisle United where he made 42 league appearances. He was released by new Carlisle boss Paul Simpson in June 2004.
Darren signed a two-year contract with Portadown in August 2004 spending two seasons with them before re-signing with Derry City in May 2006, although he was not elegible to play for them until July.
Darren played at Derry for the remainder of the 2006 season and into 2007 before joining English conference side York City in August 2007. He spent two seasons at York and then returned to Portadown in May 2009. A further year and a half were spent in the Irish League until he was released in January 2011 at which point he signed for Stalybridge Celtic.
