Galway born Mike 'Mixie' Harty joined Galway United from local side Galway Hibs in 2001/02. He is a versatile player, having played at centre of midfield, right side of midfield and at right full.
Harty was released by Galway United Manager Tony Cousins in December 2006, having spent his entire League career up to that point with the Tribesmen. One month later, in January 2007, he was signed for Athlone Town by manager Michael O'Connor.
Mixie also played at Mervue United and took part in their debut League of Ireland season in 2009.
