About Neil Gallagher
A former Irish Under-19 international and part of the eircom League U-21 squad in the semi-pro tournament in Aberdeen in April 2004, Gallagher had originally signed for Dundalk at the start of the 2002-03 season.
He was Pete Mahon’s first signing, in 2003, when he joined UCD as understudy to Pat Jennings. Niall made no first team appearances that year but played 18 times in UCD’s promotion season (2004).
He returned “on loan” to Dundalk in January 2006 and since then has keenly contected the number 1 jersey with Chris Bennion.
