Derry born Doherty joined his home club having had spells at Omagh and Coleraine.
A centre midfielder, Eamonn has also played right winger and right back since being signed by Felix Healy in 1977.
A tough tackler, he has become a favourite with the fans, with his ability to steady the team when necessary, while also tough tackleing midfielder.
