About Jason Gavin

Jason is a former Youth and U21 international with the Republic of Ireland who began his professional career in 1996 with Middlesborough where he made 31 league appearances before loan spells took him to Hartlepool, Grimsby Town and Huddersfield.

In 2003 Jason moved to Bradford City where he made 41 league appearances before returning to Ireland in 2005 to sign for Shamrock Rovers.

Jason made 19 appearances for the Hoops but moved on to Drogheda United in the summer transfer window of 2005. Three years followed at United Park where he won the League title in 2007 and two Setanta Cup medals in 2007 and 2007.

In July 2008 Jason signed for St Patrick's Athletic where he remained for the next year and a half, but at the end of the 2009 season he moved to Australia where he played for Stirling Lions.

Jason was a member of the Republic of Ireland Youths team that won the European Championship in 1998.
