Scott arrived at Dundalk in July 2009 from Scottish club Stirling Albion.
He made his league debut for the club at Oriel Park in a 4-2 defeat against derby rivals Dundalk on 24th July 2009. He made made a total of 11 league appearances that year, scoring once in a 2-2 draw with Sligo Rovers.
Having left Dundalk at the end of 2009, Scott signed for Scottish club Stenhousemuir and made 37 appearances for them over the following two seasons.
