Richard Brush - Sligo Rovers
About Richard Brush
Richard started his career at Coventry City in 2003 and spent two years at the club without making a first team appearance. He spent much of his time out on loan, having spells at Tamworth, Stafford Rangers and Hednesford Town.
In 2005/06 Richard signed for Shrewsbury Town before moving on to Nuneaton Borough that same season. In March 2006 Richard arrived in the League of Ireland when he signed for Sligo Rovers.
Richard made his debut for Sligo against Shelbourne in July 2006 and made 7 league appearances in his debut season. He would make 115 league appearances in his five year stay at the Showgrounds but injuries plagued his final eighteen months at the club and at the end of the 2010 season he was released by the club.
He returned to league action in July 2011 when he was signed by Michael O'Neill for Shamrock Rovers to cover the departure of first choice keeper Alan Mannus. Richard made 7 league appearances for the Hoops as they claimed the League title. He also played in the Europa League game against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.
At the end of the 2011 season Richard was released by Shamrock Rovers and in January 2012 he re-signed for Paul Cook at Sligo Rovers.
