About Robbie Benson
Robbie can play as a midfielder or a striker and he has played underage International matches for Ireland.
He made his league debut with Athlone as a substitute away to Waterford United on 3 Octobber 2008 and continued playing for the club until September of 2010 when he signed for UCD as part of a scholarship programme.
Robbie was unable to play for UCD's league side during the closing stages of the 2010 season due to scholarship regulations however he did take his place in the squad for the 2011 season, making 20 league appearances and scoring five goals.
