About Conor Powell
Conor joined Bohemians from Dublin youth side Belvedere at the start of the 2005 season, He made his first team debut in a League Cup game against St Patrick's Athletic in June of that year and played his first League game away to Shelbourne the following August.
Conor stayed at Bohemians for six seasons picking up two league title medals in 2008 and 2009. He also won an FAI Cup medal in '08 and a League Cup medal in '09. In all he made 119 league appearances for the Gypsies, scoring once against Drogheda United at Dalymount Park in 2009.
At the end of the 2010 season Bohemians found themselves in financial difficulty and Conor was forced to move away, signing for English side Colchester United in January 2011. Conor spent just six months with Colchester, making 2 league appearances before returning to Ireland in July 2011, signing for Paul Cook at Sligo Rovers.
Conor made 5 league starts for Sligo in the latter stages of 2011, adding 5 more appearances from the bench. He was also an unused substitute in the 2011 FAI Cup final when Sligo beat Shelbourne at the Aviva Stadium after a penalty shootout.
In January 2012 Conor signed for Stephen Kenny at Shamrock Rovers.
He has won international caps at Under 19 and Under 21 level and was named as the FAI's Schools international player of the year for 2006.
