Ken Oman - Shamrock Rovers
About Ken Oman
Ken Oman began his football career in the summer of 2001 when he signed for Pete Mahon at Bohemians, making his league debut on 31st August in a 5-1 win against Galway United at Terryland Park.
Released by Bohs after the 2005 season, Ken moved to Derry City for 2006, signing for Stephen Kenny who had managed him during his time at Dalymount Park. Ken won the FAI Cup with Derry in '06 and two League Cups in '06 and '07.
Two years followed at the Brandywell before Ken returned to Bohemians in November 2007. Although not always first choice in the centre of defence Ken won two league medals in 2008 and 2009 and also added an FAI Cup medal in '08 and a League Cup medal in '09.
In February 2011 Ken signed for Michael O'Neill at Shamrock Rovers. He made his debut for the Hoops on 20 May 2011, scoring in a 3-0 win over Drogheda United at Tallaght Stadium, and went on to make 20 league appearances as Rovers claimed the League title. He also took part in the club's epic Europa League campaign, playing in 6 of the club's 12 games and scoring in the 4-1 away defeat to Rubin Kazan.
