About Stephen Rice

Stephen began his career at Coventry City in 2001 and returned home to sign for Shelbourne in 2002. In April 2003 he signed for Stephen Kenny at Bohemians.

He spent three months of the 2003 season on loan at Monaghan United and did not make his debut at Bohemians until March of 2004 in an away game at Longford Town. From 2004 on Stephen found himself playing at right back and won the Bohs Player of the Year award in 2005.

In 2007, under Sean Connor, Stephen found himself back in his more natural midfield role but at the end of the season he left Dalymount Park to sign for Shamrock Rovers.

Stephen made his debut for Rovers on the opening day of the 2008 season and was a key member of the 2010 league winning side. He also won a Setanta Cup medal in 2011.

Stephen has won International Caps for the Republic of Ireland at all levels from U16 to U19.
