Jonathan Keane - Galway United
About Jonathan Keane
Jonathan joined Galway United from local junior club Athenry, and made a good impression while playing for United's U21 side in 2007. He was awarded a full-time contract for the 2008 season and, following the financial turmoil that stripped the club of some more established players, Keane came into the starting eleven and was a mainstay of the side who went on an eight-game unbeaten run in September/October 2008. He scored his first goal for the club in the FAI Cup win over Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds.
He was not retained in 2009 but did return to Terryland Park for 2010 and made eight league appearances throughout the season. Jonathan was released at the end of 2010.
