About Nathan Murphy
Nathan is a left-back who was called into the first-team setup by Sean Connor during the 2009 season after impressing for the club’s Youths team. Nathan initially joined Dundalk from local club Saint Dominic’s.
The young defender made his senior debut, aged just 16, with an injury-time appearance in a 3-0 defeat at Derry City on 4 September 2009, and he went on to make another seven outings between then and the end of the season.
In 2010 Nathan made 8 league appearances for Dundalk and was resigned for 2011.
He has also appeared for the FAI Schools U18 side, putting in an eye-catching display in a 3-1 friendly win over Australia.
