About Mark Griffin
Mark is a striker who joined the Dundalk youth team in August 2008 from local club Muirhevnamor. He was called up to the Dundalk first-team squad by Sean Connor in 2009 and was named as a substitute on a number of occasions before finally making his senior debut on the last day of the '09 season, coming on as a second-half sub in a 2-1 defeat by Derry City at Oriel Park.
Mark didn't make any league appearances in 2010, although he did sit on the bench on four occasions. and was limited to one appearance from the bench in an FAI Cup game against Mervue United. But 2011 saw his breakthrough at Oriel Park as he scored eight league goals in 21 league appearances for the Lilywhites.
