Stephen Quigley - Drogheda United
About Stephen Quigley
Stephen spent time with Coventry City as a youth before signing for St. Patrick’s Athletic in 2003. He spent four years with the Saints and was involved in their League Cup success of 2003 before winning the club’s young player of the year award in 2005.
In July 2007 he signed for John Gill at Dundalk and made 13 league appearances for the Lilywhites in the latter half of '07 but was released at the end of the season. In December '07 he was signed by Gareth Cronin at Waterford United where he made 27 league appearances in their 2008 First Division season. In February 2009 he signed for Shelbourne and made 47 league appearances over the following two seasons at Tolka Park.
The Dublin born player moved to Drogheda in 2011 and made his League debut for Mick Cooke’s side in the 1-0 defeat against UCD on March 4th 2011, going on to captain the side against UCD in a 5-4 defeat in the league on September 3rd. Throughout 2011 Stephen made 28 appearances for the Drogs.
