Shane Barrett - Monaghan United
About Shane Barrett
Though born in England, Shane grew up in Enfield, Co. Meath. His previous clubs include Home Farm, Dublin City, Garda, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Longoford Town, Shelbourne, Drogheda United and Sporting Fingal. He made his debut in the LOI for Dublin City and joined Longford in the 2001/02 season, starring for the club's U21 side on their way to Cup success.
In the summer of 2010 Shane signed for Cork City Foras Co-op where he scored twice before signing for Monaghan United at the start of the 2011 season.
He has won two FAI cup medals with Longford and, while at Molineux, he played regularly with Robbie Keane & Glen Crowe for both youths & reserves. He has also played for Meath GAA teams at Minor, U21 & Senior levels.
