Philip signed for Shamrock Rovers from St. Pats in January 2006.
A prolific goalscorer, Sheppard went to St. Pats from Kilkenny City, surprising many of their followers, who expected him to break through to the First Team at Richmond Park.
Philip was also a part of the Dublin Bus team that reached the 3rd round of the 2010 FAI Cup where they lost 2-0 'at home' to Shelbourne. The match was played at Tolka Park.
