About Glenn Whelan
Glenn is an Irish midfielder who plays for Stoke City in the English Premier League.
He played youths football with Dublin side Cherry Orchard before joining Manchester City in 2001. His three year spell at the club included a loan spell at Bury FC where he made 13 league appearances before moving to Sheffield Wednesday in 2004.
Glenn spent four years at Hillsborough, joining Stoke City in January 2008 where he has since made over 100 league appearances.
Glenn's senior international debut against Serbia in May 2008.
