James Casserly - Mervue United
About James Casserly
James attended St Mary's College, Galway and represented Ireland at schoolboy level. He played with Mervue United from U10 level and is possibly the only player to have won every Connaught Cup (U12, U14, U16, U18) with the club.
He was part of Mervue United's senior squad in 2010 and made seven league appearances, scoring two goals. He also played in Mervue's 2010 U18 side that reached the final of the FAI Youth Cup.
In 2011 James became a regular member of Mervue's back four, making 25 league appearances as Johnny Glynn's side improved to seventh place in the First Division.
