About Barry McEntee
Barry developed in the underage system at Mervue United and made one appearance in the club's debut league season of 2009, coming on as a substitute away to Waterford United on 20 October.
In 2010 he was a key part of the Mervue U18 side that made it to the final of the FAI Youth Cup. This was also the year that he broke into Tom French's first team squad and he made 14 league appearances in the First Division, scoring once, in a 2-1 defeat to Cork City at Turner's Cross on 10 September 2010.
Barry's contribution to Mervue's 2011 First Division campaign was restricted due to injury but he still made 12 league appearances as Mervue finished seventh in the First Division.
