Byrne re-signed for St Pats for the third time in 2007.
Dessie signed a 3-year deal with Bohs in December 2004 after a second spell with St Patrick's Athletic.
Capped by Ireland at under-16, under-18, and under-21 levels, his cross-channel clubs include Stockport County (where he made his senior dbut in 1998/99), Wimbledon, Cambridge United (loan), and Carlisle United.
Scored for Bohs away to Gent in the Intertoto Cup during season 2005.
Dessie mostly plays as left full but can also do a job at centre back.
