Noel McGee - Athlone Town
About Noel McGee
Noel McGee signed a professional contract with Athlone Town on July 23, 2006, having broken through from the Club's youth set-up. Noel only started 13 League games in the 2006 season and still ended up as the club's top scorer with 6 League goals. He also grabbed his first FAI Cup goal at home to Finn Harps in the last ever FAI Cup game to be staged at Saint Mel's Park.
Noel continued as a leading goal-scorer at Athlone until he left the club in May 2010 after a discussion with manager Brendan Place.
Noel played with local side St Peters for the 2010/11 Junior season and returned to Athlone, under new boss Mike Kerley, in June 2011.
