Paul’s Biography

Paul is a goalkeeper from Dundalk who began his career in England at Leeds United. He then moved to Leicester City before returning to his hometown when Jim Gannon brought him to Oriel Park in August 2004. He made his league debut in the final weeks of the season against Athlone Town on 29 October, leaving the club to move north to the Irish League in December.

Paul's short spell at Oriel Park was followed by time at Newry City, Portadown, Ballymena United, Newry again, Cliftonville, Lisburn Distillery and Drogheda United where he spent the first half of the 2010 season, making 11 league appearances.

Paul left United Park when he returned to Dundalk following the departure of Matt Gregg in September 2010. The 25-year-old remained on the bench at Oriel Park, failing to dislodge regular 'keeper Peter Cherrie.

On 23 January 2012 Paul signed for Irish League side Carrick Rangers and made 12 appearances for the club as they suffered relegation from the IFA Premiership.
