Iarfhlaith’s Biography

Iarfhlaith began his playing career with Tullamore Town before the famed Belvedere Boys came looking for his services. But travelling to Dublin became problematic so he found himself plying his trade with Willow Park Boys FC in the Athlone and District Schoolboy League. The schoolboy club is noted for producing players for Athlone Town and Davoren became another name on the list when he signed at St. Mel's Park, making his first team debut against Dundalk in July 2004, at the age of 17.

Iarfhlaith signed for Galway United in 2006 but made just three league appearances over the next eighteen months, signing for Longford Town in 2008. His stay at Flancare was short and in July 2008 he returned to Galway United.

In January 2010 he moved up the coast, signing for Paul Cook at Sligo Rovers where he won his first senior silverware as the club beat Monaghan United to win the 2010 EA Sports Cup. Iarfhlaith also played in Sligo's 2010 and 2011 FAI Cup winning teams, as well as winning his first league title when the Bit O' Red topped the Premier Division in 2012. In 2013 Iarfhlaith made 18 league appearances as Sligo finished third in the table and picked up his third FAI Cup winner's medal after the 3-2 win over Drogheda United in the final.

Iarfhlaith left Sligo at the end the 2013 season and remained a free agent until 5 April 2014 when he signed for John Caulfield at Cork City who had lost the services of veteran left full Danny Murphy shortly after the start of the season. He made eleven appearances for the club before re-joining Sligo Rovers in July 2014. Injuries meant Iarfhlaith only made five appearances for Sligo as they finished fifth in the league. He left Sligo at the end of the season.

In January 2019, Iarfhlaith signed with Galway as a player coach.
