Mark played underage football with Belvedere before starting his League of Ireland career at Shamrock Rovers in 2002. He made his senior debut on 7 March 2003 in a League Cup tie against Bray Wanderers. His league debut came the following season against Cork City, in March 2004, and Mark had made 27 league appearances by the end of that season.

Mark signed for Bohemians in February 2005 but was unable to hold down a first team place at Dalymount Park and returned to Shamrock Rovers on loan until the end of the 2006 season. Mark stayed with Bohs in 2007 but again went out on loan in July of that year, this time to Shelbourne where he made 18 league appearances and scored once.

In November 2007, Mark signed permanently for Shels and he made 60 more league appearances over the 2008 and 2009 seasons, before being released by Dermot keely at the end of the '09 campaign.

The following season, Mark signed for Eddie Gormley at Bray Wanderers, joining the club in March and scoring twice on his debut in a 3-1 EA Sports Cup win over Drogheda United on 12th April. He made a total of 5 appearances for the Seagulls before leaving in July of 2010.

On 27 August 2010 Mark returned to Shelbourne under new boss Alan Mathews but he didn't play for the club before being released at the end of the season. At the start of 2011 he moved up the M1 to sign for Drogheda United and he made 30 league appearances throughout the year, scoring once, in a 2-1 win over Galway United.

Mark made just 8 league appearances in the opening half of 2012 and on 30 July he left to sign for Louth rivals Dundalk.
