Shane’s Biography

Shane is a right-sided midfielder who began his career in 1999 at Shamrock Rovers. He spent six seasons in his first spell with the Hoops making over 200 league appearances.

In 2005 Shane moved to Drogheda United where he won the FAI Cup in 2005 and the League in 2007. He also won Setanta Cup medals in 2006 and 2007, and scored against Dynamo Kiev in a Champions League qualifier in 2008.

In January 2009 Shane returned to Shamrock Rovers for one season in which he made another 32 league appearances before moving to Australia where he played for Stirling Lions in 2010. In 2011 he was on the move again, this time pitching up in Finland where he turned out for FC Haka.

In November 2012 Shane returned to Ireland, signing for a third spell at Shamrock Rovers. He scored two league goals in 23 league appearances during 2013 and picked up Setanta Cup and EA Cup winner's medals. He added a further twenty-four appearances to his name in the 2014 season, scoring once in a 1-1 draw with Bohemians, as Rovers secured European football with a fourth place finish. Shane left Rovers at the end of the season.
