Ruairi’s Biography

Ruairi played schoolboys football with local Derry side Don Boscos and in the summer of 2006 he took up an offer at London club, Charlton Athletic. He spent two seasons at the Valley without ever making a senior appearance for Charlton.

He spent some time on loan at Heybridge Swifts but was released by Charlton in May 2008. In 2009 Ruairi signed for Stephen Kenny at his home town club, Derry City but he was loaned out to First Division Finn Harps at the start of the '09 season.

He made 12 appearances for Harps in the early part of 2009 before returning to the Brandywell where he turned out 3 times for the Candystripes before the season ended. Ruairi made 20 league appearances for Derry in 2010, scoring three times, as the club won the First Division title, and in 2011 he made another 20 appearances, though 14 of these came as a substitute.

On 5 January 2012 Ruairi signed for Irish League side Coleraine and made his debut against Carrick Rangers on the 7th of January 2012.

In August 2019, Ruairi signed for Finn Harps.
