Cian’s Biography
Cian began his career with Salthill Devon and helped them win the U21 league in 2006. He joined Galway United in the summer of 2007 and came through the club's U-21 side to become a senior squad member in 2008.
He made his league debut for Galway in a 3-0 defeat to Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds on 19 April 2008 and made 3 league appearances that season. Cian scored his first league goal in a 2-2 draw with Bray Wanderers the following season and he finished 2009 with a further 30 league appearances, having scored three times.
In the early part of 2010 Cian made 11 league appearances for Galway before moving on to Salthill Devon in June. He made his debut for Salthill away to Derry City on 23 July and made 13 league appearances over the latter half of the season.
Cian also began 2011 at Salthill but played his last game against Wexford Youths on 13 May before heading to the United States in June 2011. One year later, in July 2012, Cian returned to Irish football and signed for Mervue United. His first league appearance of the season was against Waterford United at Fahy's Field on 4 August and he made 7 league appearances before leaving the club at the end of the season.
Cian went on to play Junior football with NUIG in the 2012/13 winter season.
