Darren’s Biography
Having played previously with Waterford United and Limerick, Darren dropped back into Junior football with Killavilla United. But he re-joined Limerick FC in July of 2010 and made his first league appearance for the club in the last home game of the season, coming on as a 74th minute substitute against Shelbourne on October 22nd 2010.
He captained Limerick's A Championship side in the 2010 season but, having made just 4 first team appearances, Darren was released by Limerick in July 2011 and returned to Killavilla United.
In February 2012 Darren signed for Mike Kerley at Athlone Town and made his league debut for the club in a 2-1 defeat to Longford Town on 10 March. He went on to make 9 league appearances over the opening half of the season but left in June 2012 to emigrate to Australia.
