Cillian’s Biography

Cillian was part of Martin Russell's UCD squad in 2010 but didn't make a league appearance that year. However, on the opening day of the 2011 season, Cillian marked his league debut by scoring the winning goal in a 1-0 defeat away to Drogheda United. He went on to make 5 league appearances through the season, scoring twice.

In the 2012 season, Cillian scored once in nine games as UCD finished 8th in the league. Cillian re-signed with UCD for the 2013 season and went on to score four goals in fourteen appearances. 2014 started well for Cillian as he scored a hat-trick in a 5-3 win over Bray Wanderers. By July, he had four goals in fourteen games.

In July 2014, Cillian signed for Cork City on a deal until 2015. Cillian only played five games of Cork's remaining sixteen games, and did not score, as the Leesiders finished agonizingly second after losing to Dundalk on the last day of the season. In November 2014, Cillian signed for Derry City, under manager Peter Hutton, for the 2015 Premier Division season. Cillian went on to make twenty league appearances for the Candystripes as Derry finished seventh in the Premier Division.

At the end of the season, Cillian left Derry City and decided to focus on playing GAA for Donegal.
