Ben’s Biography
Ben played with Waterford United's A Championship side in 2009 but his first experience at senior level came with Wexford Youths the following year. He joined the Youths in the summer of 2010, making his league debut as a late substitute in a 0-0 away draw against Salthill Devon on 26th June. He went on to make 12 league appearances in his debut season and scored one league goal, in the 5-2 away win over Mervue United.
The following season Ben cemented his place in the Youths' first team, making 28 league appearances and scoring six times. But in January 2012 he signed for south coast neighbours Waterford United. He made his senior debut for the Blues in a 3-1 home win over eventual champions Limerick FC on 9 March 2012 and made 20 league appearances, scoring three league goals. In 2013 Ben bagged another seven league goals in 23 league outings before returning for a second spell at Wexford in 2014 after a short trial period at Drogheda United during the pre-season.
Ben scored five times for the Youths in 2014 also adding 22 more league appearances to his career tally. Ben left Wexford at the end of the season to join New Park AFC.
