Mark joined Mervue United from Corofin United at the age of eleven and during their debut league season of 2009 he made his own league bow on 20 March in a home tie against Finn Harps. He made a total of 28 league appearances that year, scoring twice, and in 2010 he made a further 20 league appearances, scoring once.

Over the following three seasons Marc's made another 71 league appearance and in 2013 he added two league goals to his career total as Mervue finished third in the First Division and only lost out on promotion when they lost their play-off against Longford Town on penalties. This marked the end of Mervue's league sojourn as they, along with Salthill Devon, made way for the new unified entity that would be Galway FC.

On 13 December 2013 Marc signed for new club Galway FC and made his first league appearance for the Tribesmen against Bohemians on 13 March 2014. He made 25 league appearances over the course of the 2014 campaign, as well as playing in all four of Galway's promotion play-off matches which saw the club promoted to the Premier Division at the first time of asking.

In 2015 Marc made a further 20 league appearances for the club as Galway finished tenth in the Premier Division. He also played in the EA Sports Cup Final, which Galway lost on penalties to St Pats. Marc featured in 19 league games (26 in all competitions) for Galway in 2016 before re-signing with the club for 2017. Marc then re-signed with Galway ahead of the 2018 season.

In January 2019, Marc signed a new deal with Galway United. In December 2020, it was announced that Marc was to leave Galway after 7 seasons at the club.

In February 2021, Marc signed for LOI newcomers Treaty United where he played for three seasons before hanging up his boots in January 2024.
