David McMillan

David signed for UCD in the summer of 2008 and was a part of the club's A Championship winning side that year. He also made his senior debut that season as a late substitute in a 2-0 away defeat to Cork City in September '08.

With UCD newly relegated to the First Division, David started 2009 as a first team player and played a key role in the club lifting the First Division title. He scored 12 league goals that year and carried his form into the Premier Division in 2010 when he added 8 league goals to his career tally in 23 league appearances.

In January of 2011 David signed for Pete Mahon at St Patrick's Athletic. He made 13 league starts but became something of a super-sub, adding 14 more appearances from the bench. David spent just one season at St Pats and left at the end of 2011, spending some time in Australia where he scored three goals in 6 appearances for Olympic FC. He returned to Ireland in the summer of 2012 and re-signed for his former club UCD in the July transfer window.

David scored twelve times in 19 league games for the Students in the opening half of 2013 but on 3 July he signed for the defending league champions Sligo Rovers. He scored on his debut against Cork City two days later although Rovers were beaten 3-1. That was his only league goal for the Bit O' Red, and he made 13 league appearances over the remainder of the season. He also played in both of Sligo's Champions League games against Norwegian side Molde but was cup-tied for the club's FAI Cup campaign that saw them lift the trophy at the Aviva Stadium in November 2013.

On 12 December 2013 it was confirmed that David had signed for Stephen Kenny at Dundalk. For the 2014 season, David was usually used as a substitute due to the form of striker Patrick Hoban. But he still played an important role, scoring seven goals from 24 league appearances, as Dundalk secured the league title on the last day of the season.

In 2015 David scored twelve goals in 33 league games for the Lilywhites as Dundalk once more won the Premier Division title. He also appeared in both Champions League ties, scoring their goal in the 2-1 defeat away from home, as the Lilywhites went out to BATE Borisov. He also played in the FAI Cup Final, in which Dundalk beat Cork City 1-0 after extra-time. 2016 brought a third league title with David hitting the net 16 times in 31 league appearances. He also played in all 12 of Dundalk's European games, scoring five times, as they reached the group stage of the Europa League. Before leaving at the end of 2017, David made a total of 125 appearances for Dundalk in four years, scoring 74 goals which averages out at 0.6 goals per game.

In December 2017, David signed for St Johnstone on a 2 and a half year deal. David left St Johnstone in May 2020. Dundalk would sign back with Dundalk in July 2020. In December 2020, David re-signed with Dundalk ahead of the 2021 campaign and stayed at Oriel Park for two more seasons before announcing his retirement from the game in Febrruary 2023.
