Michael played for Redditch United before signing for Kidderminster Harriers where he spent three years before his contract was terminated by mutual consent in January 2009.
In February 2009 Michael signed for Galway United and made his debut for the club in a 3-0 win over St Patrick's Athletic on the opening night of the season. He made 17 league appearances for Galway before moving to Sligo Rovers in the summer transfer window and making a further 4 league appearances for them by the end of the 2009 season.
