Derek’s Biography
Derek came up through the underage ranks at Drogheda United, captaining the successful U17 side in 2007/08. Manager Paul Doolin brought sixteen year old Derek onto the bench for the senior side during Drogheda's title winning season and he graduated to the club's A Championship side, becoming a regular in 2010.
Derek made 2 league appearances with the first team in 2010 but left the club in the summer of 2011 to join local side Drogheda Town,
