Mario’s Biography
Mario came through the youth system at Hajduk Split and joined their senior squad in 2012, although his senior debut was delayed by illness until April of 2013. One year later, in July 2014, he signed for English Premier League side, Chelsea.
In six years at Stamford Bridge Mario made no senior appearances and was hardly ever there, being loaned out to Eiche, Monaco, AC Milan, Spartak Moscow and Atalanta during his time with the London club.
In June of 2020, after two seasons on loan at the club, Mario signed a permanent deal with Atalanta.
Mario missed out on Croatia's 2014 World Cup team in Brazil but made his senior international debut later that year, against Cyprus in September 2014.
