Saoirse’s Biography

Saoirse emerged from the Cork Schoolgirl's League where she played with Douglas Hall and Kilreen Celtic while also representing Cork GAA in the Gaynor Cup squads. In 2015 she joined Cork City and in 2017 she won the FAI Cup with them as well as being named the WNK Young Player of the Year.

In 2020 Saoirse played in her second FAI Cup final which Cork lost to Peamount United and in February 2021 she left Cork to sign for Shelbourne. Her first season with Shels brought a first League title for Saoirse as well as a third Cup final appearance, which Shelbourne lost to Wexford Youths.

In January 2022 Saoirse signed for English side Durham WFC but a pre-season injury saw her return to Dublin where she signed a loan deal at Shelbourne.

Saoirse's international career started with the Republic of Ireland U15s before moving up to the U17s in 2015. She went to play with both the U17s and U19s a nd made her senior international debut in a friendly against Wales in August 2016.

Saoirse's involvement with the senior Irish side was limited to home-based training camps until she was given her competitive debut against Sweden in October 2021.
