Anthony’s Biography
Anthony was born in Blackburn and spent time in the youth systems at Preston North End, Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers. However, he began his senior career at Stockport County in 2006 and scored seventeen times in 80 league appearances in his three years at the club.
In January 2009 Anthony signed for Huddersfield Town where he scored nineteen times in 92 league appearances before securing a move to the Premier Division with Norwich City in July 2011. Across three Premier League seasons, Anthony made seventy-five league appearances, scoring fourteen times in the process, before he joined Championship side Cardiff City in August 2014.
Anthony has previously been called up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad, and ahead of the friendlies with Switzerland and Slovakia, he has 9 caps and one goal to his name. He was not included in the Republic of Ireland's final squad for the 2016 European Championship.
