James’s Biography
James joined up with Tony Cousins' senior squad at Longford Town in the summer of 2013 and made his debut in the FAI Cup game against Drogheda United at Flancare Park on 24 August 2013. He also made 2 league appearances that year. James' break-through year acme the following season when he played 23 times in the league, scoring once in a 2-0 win over Waterford United, as Longford Town won the 2014 First Division title. His performances resulted in a call-up to the Rep. of Ireland u19 squad.
James re-signed with Longford for the 2015 season in the Premier Division and made 18 league appearances, and in 2016, his fourth year at the club, he added a further 24 league appearances to his career total.
